What you'll accomplish
Right now, every time a new batch of resumes lands in your inbox, you either re-explain the role's must-haves to ChatGPT from scratch or dig through applications by hand. A ChatGPT Project loaded with the job description and your screening criteria remembers all of it. Open a new chat inside the project, drop in resumes, and it screens against the same rubric every time, no re-explaining required.
What you'll need
What you should see: Your plan name shown in account settings. Troubleshooting: If your company already pays for ChatGPT for other staff, ask before signing up separately. Duplicate subscriptions are an easy way to waste a budget line nobody's watching.
What you should see: A new, empty project workspace with a place to add instructions and files.
What you should see: Your written screening rubric saved and attached to the project, visible any time you open it.
What you should see: The file listed in the project, with a note that it's now available to every chat inside the project. Troubleshooting: Plus accounts support up to roughly 25 files per project. You won't come close to that with a job description and a rubric, so there's plenty of room to add more roles later.
What you should see: A ranked list with a short explanation under each candidate's name, referencing specific qualifications from their resume. Troubleshooting: You can attach up to 10 files in a single message. For a bigger stack, split it into two or three batches and ask for a combined ranking at the end.
